SHOES! Finally...

After much searching and deliberation, I went to payless.com searching around, figuring that now that its fall they might have more dark purple shoes. lo and behold...I found an exact match of a pair I already own that are perfect with my dress, except these ones are purple. :D

New Bouquet!

Because we couldn't find the right calla lilies, this is what my mother came up with. Its so beautiful!

Vests & Ties

Okay, here's the deal, for all the groomsmen (mostly aimed at Ulrich family, because I'll have to talk to the others separately) the rental for the vest and the tie is actually $19.50, but, they have to go get sized/fitted at a place that does tuxes/vests whatever and then call in to tell them the size. OR you can just email/text the sizes to me and I can call in (that may be easier and less confusing).

What they need fitted/sized: Chest, Overarm and Hip

They can go pick them up Thursday, Friday or Saturday before the wedding (Friday would be better I think). And I forgot to ask how long the rental period is, so I will find out. :D have fun gettin your boys to go get fitted...:D

About the Dresses

It was brought to my attention that I should probably say that we should all try to get a dark purple, rather than any purple, of a dress. :D I should have clarified that, sorry! I hope this doesn't cause any problems! Thanks y'all! You're fabulous!

Bridesmaids

Just something i've been thinking about: If you want to save money and not want to buy a dress you can wear the right purple of a shirt and a black skirt. It'd look great if y'all were in dresses, but I understand perfectly if you want a skirt and a shirt. happy shopping!

These are the advice cards (loved the idea!) for each table.

Men's Apparel

Okay, thoughts on having the men rent their vest and tie (no tuxes)? we couldn't make them for the price that they would rent them for : $24.50 here's a picture:

 

Bouquet & Flowers

So my thought for a bouquet is this:

silk calla lilies with real roses. Then the men without jackets so no flowers for them, only for Chad, the dads and the moms. then either a matching bracelet or a single calla lily for the gals.

Vase Options

Melanie - Let me know if you like any of these and if you think they might work.

LEFT- Straight Cylinder - 9.5" T and about 1.75" D.

MIDDLE - Concave - 9.5" T, aprox. 2" D at the top and bottom and about 1.25" D at the narrowest point.

RIGHT - Convex - 7.75" T, aprox. 2" D at the top and bottom and about 2.5" at the widest point.

Each vase has a slight bit of etching in the shape of a stem - it is very subtle.

Color Plans

I should be running to Home Depot or Lowe's really soon to get paint chips for the two purples and the green so people can have plenty of time to go get their dresses! If there is a more effective way of sending out the color, let me know! So far, the paint chip idea is the best one I've found! P.S. I need your addresses. :D

And We're Off!

This is going to be a blast and I am so excited! This is a test to see if a wedding plans blog will work, so patience is key as we figure out how to make it work. :D
